Kei lives in Tokyo and is involved with Ai, but the relationship is unsettled by insecurity and the difficulty of expressing what each woman needs. Meeting Naima, an Iranian student, introduces a new connection that crosses cultural and religious boundaries. Their growing closeness complicates Kei’s existing partnership without making Naima’s feelings easy to define. Each woman brings a different understanding of belonging, intimacy and the limits imposed by the world around her. The drama follows this uncertain triangle through conversations and encounters in which friendship and desire do not always have clear borders. Rather than resolving difference through an uncomplicated romance, it asks what it means to reach toward someone whose experience cannot simply be absorbed into one’s own.
