Hana and Ayumi meet through a sign-language group in Gunma and begin spending more time together. For Hana, falling for another woman brings unfamiliar feelings as well as the possibility of a relationship she wants to protect. Telling her family does not bring the acceptance she hoped for, and the reaction leaves her uncertain about how to hold onto both love and belonging. Ayumi discovers an event for Deaf LGBTQ people in Tokyo and suggests they go together. Meeting others who have negotiated similar questions opens a different kind of conversation. Directed by Deaf filmmaker Mika Imai and featuring Deaf performers, this Japanese romance follows the women towards community through the language and everyday experiences they share.
