Veronica’s carefully planned future is disrupted by an unintended pregnancy and the discovery that obtaining an abortion will require a journey she cannot manage alone. She turns to Bailey, a former friend whose apparent confidence hides difficulties of her own. Their road trip takes them through a series of increasingly unpredictable encounters, forcing both girls to reconsider what ended their friendship and what they still need from each other. Bailey’s openness about liking girls creates space for a conversation she has not always been able to have at home. As practical obstacles and old resentments collide, the comedy keeps bodily autonomy beside the equally personal question of who can be trusted to offer support without demanding a different version of oneself.
