Former beauty queen Thoko is trying to reclaim her story after a public scandal costs her a title. Writing a memoir brings her into contact with Nana, whose help soon becomes more personal than either woman expects. Their growing attraction is complicated by private histories, carefully managed appearances and things left unsaid. As work on the book draws them closer, both must decide how much of themselves they are willing to reveal. The final film in the Umjolo collection follows two women negotiating the gap between the lives others see and the love they might choose.
