A disastrous encounter draws Theresa into a world whose rules she has never had to consider. Confronted with vampirism and the violence surrounding it, she struggles to understand what survival now demands of her. Allison, an alluring immortal, offers a connection that makes the unfamiliar life both more tempting and more dangerous. Attraction does not remove the imbalance between experience and uncertainty, and Theresa must decide what parts of herself she is willing to surrender. This horror film places the relationship between two women inside an explicitly brutal supernatural setting. Its romance is entangled with appetite and power, following a newcomer whose desire for belonging cannot be separated from the moral and physical costs of the community drawing her in.
