A surprisingly affordable Manhattan apartment looks like a lucky break for roommates Addie and Noelle. The bargain becomes less reassuring when a stranger arrives with an alarming account of the property’s supposed past. While Addie’s behaviour grows increasingly unsettling, Noelle becomes absorbed in the visitor’s investigation and in the intense connection developing between them. Sleepless research and mounting suspicion turn their new home into a place where every detail seems charged with hidden significance. The women’s separate obsessions begin to feed the same atmosphere of dread. Blending apartment horror with a fictional conspiracy narrative, the film follows a search for answers that steadily erodes the distinction between discovery, projection, and possession.
