Nora and Solveig set out across a remote Norwegian mountain landscape carrying equipment for a hike and a grief that has become difficult to share. A tragedy from two years earlier still shapes their relationship, but the women have not experienced its aftermath in the same way. Returning to the place connected with their loss offers the possibility of speaking plainly, while also reopening the accusations and silences that have grown between them. With few distractions beyond the weather, the terrain and one another, they must confront what remaining together would require. Ole Giæver’s intimate drama follows a couple whose love persists without providing an easy answer to the question of whether they can find a future beyond the past.
