Fatima grows up in a loving Algerian family on the outskirts of Paris, aware that her attraction to women may challenge the expectations around her. Leaving school and entering a wider social world gives her room to explore feelings she has kept private. Meeting Ji-na brings intimacy and new questions about how faith, family and desire can coexist. Adapted from Fatima Daas’s novel, Hafsia Herzi’s drama follows the everyday steps of a young woman learning to recognise herself. Her search for belonging unfolds through relationships, small discoveries and choices about what she is ready to share.
