A group of friends gathers for a weekend away with an agenda that has not been shared with everyone. Annie believes Ruby and Peter’s marriage needs an intervention and hopes the trip will persuade them to separate. Once the conversation begins, however, the people offering advice find it difficult to keep their own relationships out of view. Among them are Jessie and her longtime girlfriend Sarah, whose familiar routines conceal questions about what comes next. Affection, avoidance and resentment travel around the group as the carefully planned discussion loses direction. The comedy follows people who are confident about one another’s problems and much less prepared to examine the arrangements they have accepted in their own lives.
