Lola treats her work as a business consultant with relentless discipline and expects her personal life to remain equally controlled. She keeps both her relationship with her boss Elise and her sister Conny's serious mental health difficulties away from professional scrutiny. When Conny enters a crisis, those carefully separated parts of Lola's life begin to collide. Helping her sister threatens the routines and image on which her success depends, while intimacy with Elise exists within the same workplace hierarchy she is trying to navigate. This psychological drama follows the effort required to appear composed when the structures underneath are shifting. Lola's relationship with a woman is an important part of her lived experience, woven into a larger story about care, ambition and the fear of losing control.
