During the first pandemic lockdown in Italy, Roxanne retreats into the demanding work of restoring a church’s pipe organ. The arrival of Lucia, a young assistant who does not speak, interrupts the older woman’s hard-won control over her surroundings. Their shared task creates proximity, and Roxanne’s attraction grows into an obsession she struggles to contain. Outside restrictions intensify the isolation inside, leaving professional authority and private desire dangerously close together. Gabriele Fabbro’s romantic thriller uses the sound and physical scale of the organ as part of its enclosed world, following a woman whose need for connection becomes inseparable from her fear of surrendering control.
