Andi and Lu arrive in wine country for a bachelorette weekend intended to celebrate their approaching wedding. Surrounded by friends, they expect a mixture of drinks, affectionate teasing and time to relax before the ceremony. An unexpected admission from Lu—that she has never had an orgasm—changes the mood and leaves Andi questioning something she thought they understood about each other. Their friends respond in different ways, and the weekend becomes a series of conversations about sex, honesty and the assumptions people bring into relationships. Jenée LaMarque’s ensemble comedy stays with the discomfort beneath a seemingly happy occasion, following two women who love each other as they discover that preparing for marriage may require asking questions they have avoided.
