For Sabina and Esther, the arrival of an international exchange student brings more than a change in household routine. Annie has travelled from Mexico to New Zealand expecting an adventure, and her presence soon unsettles the balance between the two girlfriends. As the three young women spend time together, attraction and jealousy make familiar relationships feel newly uncertain. Each has to work out what she wants without assuming that the others will want the same thing. Set within the world of Flunk, this feature follows a new group of teenagers through the awkward negotiations of first love, belonging and independence. An apparently simple stay abroad becomes a test of whether honesty can survive the fear of losing someone.
