Toni loves Gwen, but a traumatic brain injury has changed the life they can share and the memories they can rely on. Sarah is facing a related struggle with her husband Joe, whose own injury has disrupted the shape of their relationship. The two households live with an imbalance between what one partner remembers and what the other must keep explaining or holding alone. As Toni and Sarah look for a way forward, companionship opens possibilities that also carry difficult emotional consequences. Adapted from Kaite O’Reilly’s play, the film follows people trying to preserve love while recognizing that care, loyalty and a future together may no longer mean the same thing to everyone.
