Three couples travel to a beach house for a weekend that promises a break from everyday routines. Alex and Jackie bring the familiarity of a long relationship, but familiarity has not protected them from frustration or uncertainty about intimacy. As the friends spend time together, small disagreements and private conversations reveal questions that the holiday was supposed to leave behind. The ensemble moves between the couples, allowing different kinds of partnership to illuminate one another without presenting a single model of success. Within that shared setting, Alex and Jackie must find a way to speak about what has changed between them. The drama treats maintaining a relationship as an ongoing negotiation rather than a condition secured by time alone.
