Delphine leaves her family’s farm for Paris, where she encounters a women’s liberation movement that gives new language to the restrictions she has known. Carole, an energetic activist, becomes central to this awakening as their attraction develops into love. When family circumstances call Delphine back to the countryside, the relationship must move into a setting where privacy and duty have different meanings. Carole’s political confidence meets realities that cannot be resolved through slogans alone, while Delphine faces the difficulty of reconciling affection with belonging at home. Set in the 1970s, the drama places an intimate romance alongside a period of collective change, exploring how liberation can feel different in public argument and in daily life.
