Agnes is living in the same small college town where a traumatic experience interrupted her sense of a future. Her closest friend Lydie visits from a life that has continued to change, bringing warmth, sharp humour and the prospect of a growing family. Across different periods in Agnes’s life, their friendship becomes a place where pain can be acknowledged without defining every moment. Eva Victor’s debut follows recovery through awkward encounters, ordinary routines and unexpected kindness. Lydie’s queer life is part of the film’s intimate portrait of friendship; the two friends are not presented as a romantic couple.
