Diya wants to become a dancer, and the discipline offers a glimpse of a future she might choose for herself. Her family has a different plan: an arranged marriage that leaves little room for her ambitions or her feelings for Kiran. As the women’s friendship becomes a love affair, Diya begins to resist the life being prepared on her behalf. Choosing to live together gives them a measure of independence, but it also makes their relationship visible to people unwilling to accept it. Subarna Thapa’s drama follows two women trying to protect a shared future in Kathmandu, where private affection cannot easily be separated from family duty, social scrutiny and the consequences of refusing an expected role.
