Joanna’s days require a balance that can be difficult to maintain. Her ADHD medication helps, but money is running short, and her father’s depression leaves her carrying responsibilities that extend well beyond school. When obtaining the medication becomes a problem, she searches for a solution with increasing urgency. At the same time, meeting Audrey introduces an entirely different kind of disruption: the excitement and vulnerability of falling in love. Christoffer Sandler’s coming-of-age drama follows those pressures together, giving a young woman room to be resourceful, impulsive and romantically uncertain while the practical demands of her life continue arriving without waiting for her to feel ready.
