Paula is nearing the end of school in rural Austria, spending her days among classmates whose friendships and romantic attachments are constantly shifting. She is attracted to Charlotte, but Charlotte is already in a relationship, leaving Paula caught between hope and uncertainty. Other encounters offer distraction without making her feelings easier to understand. Parties, school routines and long summer days provide the setting for a young woman testing how much of herself she is ready to reveal. The film follows the awkwardness of desire at an age when a glance or a conversation can seem decisive, while the people involved are still learning to recognize what they want and how to ask for it.
