Manami is a high-school student involved in her school’s broadcasting club, where rehearsals and preparations give shape to the ordinary anxieties of adolescence. The arrival of Chiyuki disturbs that familiar routine. Drawn to the newcomer’s presence, Manami begins to experience feelings that make the club’s everyday encounters newly charged. A glance, a conversation or a moment spent together can seem to promise more than she knows how to ask for. As the students prepare their performance, private emotions begin to interfere with the roles they are expected to play. Yuichi Onuma’s coming-of-age drama follows a young woman trying to understand attraction before she has the confidence to express it, finding uncertainty and possibility in the enclosed social world of school.
