Alba and Natasha meet in Rome and retreat to a hotel room on the last night of their separate trips. Attraction makes staying together easy; telling the truth proves more difficult. Through the night, they offer each other stories about their lives, sometimes revealing themselves and sometimes taking refuge in invention. The room becomes a temporary world in which they can consider a connection that has no clear place in the futures waiting outside. As morning approaches, the women must decide how much of what they have shared belongs to an encounter away from home, and how much they are willing to carry with them.
