Seventeen-year-old Manon leaves the Swiss mountains and arrives in Belfort with a fierce determination to play ice hockey. Finding a place on the local team gives her a goal, but her talent is accompanied by anger that can undermine the future she wants. New friendships and a connection with Karine draw her into a life beyond the rink, where tenderness and vulnerability demand different skills from competition. The two young women carry wounds of their own, and their attraction develops without a neat division between emotional and physical risk. Hugues Hariche’s coming-of-age drama follows Manon as she tries to turn escape into a beginning, balancing the drive to win with the need to let someone close.
