Jacki has spent years playing the Los Angeles club circuit with Clam Dandy, an all-woman band still waiting for the break that could justify its sacrifices. A possible recording deal gives the musicians one more reason to keep going, even as relationships, work and personal crises threaten their shared purpose. Faith and Sally’s partnership is part of a circle in which love and friendship are constantly tested by the demands of staying together. With Jacki considering how long she can keep chasing the same dream, the band’s next performance becomes more than another gig. The film follows queer women whose creative ambitions are inseparable from the lives they struggle to sustain.
