Phea makes music on London’s streets while trying to imagine a future beyond the instability of the present. When her girlfriend Justine disappears from her reach, the search for her pulls Phea into a dangerous world of exploitation and coercion. What begins as an urgent attempt to find someone she loves becomes a test of how much she is prepared to risk. Music remains part of her way through the city, even as familiar spaces become threatening. Drawing on the story of Orpheus, Rocky Palladino’s thriller follows a queer musician whose determination to recover her lover carries her toward people and choices she cannot fully control.
