Mona’s days in rural Yorkshire feel small and repetitive until she meets Tamsin, a privileged schoolgirl with a taste for escape and invention. The two come from different worlds, but their attraction turns an idle summer into an intense private alliance. While Mona’s brother embraces a new religious life, the girls create a space that seems to belong only to them. Their growing intimacy also raises questions about trust, power and the stories people tell to become more interesting to someone else. This romantic psychological drama follows the exhilaration of finding a person who appears to understand you, and the uncertainty of knowing whether she does.
