Mel dreams of leaving her catering job and beginning again in Portugal. When she meets Jenny, a misunderstanding gives her the chance to try on a different identity much closer to home. Jenny assumes Mel is a Portuguese boy, and Mel allows the mistake to become the foundation of their romance. Borrowing details from a colleague's life makes the invention easier to sustain, but every new encounter brings another risk of discovery. Nana Neul's drama follows a young woman whose longing to be loved becomes entangled with the fear that being understood truthfully might cost her the connection she has found.
