Becca has left her small hometown behind for a successful career on the musical stage, while her former high-school sweetheart Sam has stayed close to the life they once shared. Coming home for Christmas brings Becca back within reach of old feelings that neither distance nor professional success has settled. Sam has reasons to be cautious about reopening the relationship, but the holiday season provides plenty of opportunities for them to cross paths. Their mothers are particularly eager to help, whether that help is requested or not. As community festivities and familiar routines draw Becca and Sam together, they must consider whether the choices that separated them still define their future. A second chance will require more than seasonal nostalgia.
