University offers Alex a chance to move beyond the expectations of home, but falling for Kiki makes that freedom much more complicated. The two students develop an intense romance, discovering both the exhilaration of being wanted and the difficulty of understanding another person’s history. Kiki’s possessive brother remains a disruptive presence, bringing a troubling family attachment into their new relationship. As Alex tries to make sense of desire, jealousy and loyalty, first love becomes a test of what each woman can share and what she cannot escape. This Romanian drama follows the women’s attraction without pretending that intimacy can resolve every conflict around them.
