Lara has built a comfortable life in London, placing distance between her present household and the experiences she left behind in Ramallah. An unexpected visit from childhood friend Inam interrupts that careful separation. Their conversation brings back a teenage bond shaped by desire, rivalry and an encounter neither remembers in quite the same way. As the film moves between the women’s younger selves and their adult reunion, the details of the past become increasingly unstable. Jonathan Sagall’s psychological drama follows the power that a shared history can retain over people who have tried to live beyond it. What matters is not simply recovering an event, but understanding how the account each woman carries has shaped what she can now ask of the other.
