After treatment following a devastating loss, Molly moves into an apartment and tries to establish an ordinary routine. Her girlfriend’s absence continues to shape the quiet hours, but a persistent knocking from above gives that quiet a disturbing new focus. Molly begins to suspect that someone in the building needs help. The more insistently she asks questions, the more her neighbours treat her concern as another symptom of her own distress. Memories, sounds and unanswered appeals make it increasingly difficult to tell whether she is uncovering danger or being drawn deeper into fear. Refusing to accept the explanations offered to her, Molly presses on, struggling to make herself heard in a place where everyone seems ready to dismiss her.
