Mia arrives at a family celebration with a fiancé and a future that appears settled. There she meets Frida, the daughter of the woman her father intends to marry. Their first encounters are uneasy, but time spent together opens an attraction Mia cannot comfortably explain away. Frida’s willingness to acknowledge what is happening makes Mia’s existing commitments harder to treat as inevitable. As private feelings begin to affect family relationships and wedding plans, neither woman can remain protected by the idea that their connection is temporary. Alexandra-Therese Keining’s romantic drama follows the difficult movement from recognizing desire to acting on it, asking what honesty costs when it changes not only a couple’s future but the expectations of everyone around them.
