Amanda is trying to escape the shadow of an abusive former boyfriend when she takes in a new roommate. Hayley has her own reasons for wanting a fresh start, and the women quickly recognize something familiar in each other’s fear. Sharing a home brings comfort, attraction and the promise that neither will have to face her past alone. But the protection they offer one another soon comes with demands that are harder to accept. As threatening figures reappear and trust gives way to uncertainty, Amanda begins to question the bargain taking shape between them. Michael Greenspan’s thriller turns a refuge into an increasingly dangerous alliance, following two women whose desire for safety becomes entangled with secrets, obligation and the possibility of violence.
