Tala is preparing for a wedding that seems to satisfy everyone around her. Leyla is trying to negotiate her own family's expectations while working out how honestly she can live. When the women meet in London, easy conversation develops into an attraction neither can fit neatly into the plans already in motion. Their different backgrounds and approaches to coming out complicate a connection that feels increasingly difficult to dismiss. Shamim Sarif's romantic comedy follows the gap between knowing what you want and being ready to claim it, as Tala and Leyla consider what they owe their families, their partners and themselves.
