Seoul, 1994. Fourteen-year-old Eun-hee moves between school, her family’s apartment and the city with a persistent feeling of being overlooked. Friendships and first attractions offer possible refuges, but each arrives with its own uncertainty. She wants someone to take her seriously without asking her to become a different girl first. A new teacher begins to provide the kind of attention that has been missing, giving Eun-hee a relationship in which her questions can matter. Kim Bo-ra’s coming-of-age drama stays close to the small experiences through which a young person learns to understand affection and disappointment. Changes in the wider city remain visible around a life that feels intensely private, as Eun-hee searches for steadiness in people who are changing too.
