Marie joins her friend Alexia for what should be a quiet stay at her family’s secluded farmhouse. A violent intrusion turns the visit into a night of terror, forcing Marie into a desperate effort to survive and protect the person she has followed there. As the pursuit moves beyond the house, the film challenges the security of what Marie—and the audience—believes is happening. This French horror thriller places its female protagonist’s attachment to Alexia at the centre of a deliberately disturbing story. Its sapphic dimension is entangled with obsession and violence; it should not be approached as a straightforward mutual romance.
