Ema is a dancer whose life with her choreographer husband has fractured after a crisis involving the child they adopted. Grief, blame and anger move through their relationship, while Ema turns toward the streets and the physical freedom of reggaeton. Her next choices unsettle the people around her, including Raquel, a lawyer with whom she begins a relationship. Desire becomes part of a larger effort to rearrange the boundaries of family, responsibility and personal freedom. Set in Valparaíso, the film follows a woman whose intentions are not always immediately legible to others. Its bisexual protagonist's relationships with women and men are woven into the central drama, which asks who is allowed to shape a family and what that freedom might cost.
