Elena’s life is organized around her family and her husband’s role as a pastor, leaving little room to question the shape it has taken. Peyton, a writer living with losses and expectations of her own, appears to belong to a different world. A series of encounters draws the women into friendship, giving them a space to speak more freely than their usual surroundings allow. As their attachment becomes romantic, the comfort of being understood begins to carry consequences for the lives around them. Nicole Conn’s drama follows two women whose connection challenges the assumptions they have made about love and loyalty, asking what it takes to acknowledge a feeling when doing so may change the relationships on which everyday life depends.
