Iva is raising her daughter when Hedi enters their lives and becomes a compelling presence. The women’s attraction creates an intimacy that is difficult to stabilize: moments of closeness are followed by withdrawal, and neither seems able to define the relationship on equal terms. Hedi’s independence unsettles Iva even as it draws her in. Their connection becomes more complicated when another member of Iva’s family enters the picture, exposing tensions that affection alone cannot resolve. Rather than offering a straightforward courtship, the drama examines desire as an exchange of power and vulnerability. It follows two women trying to reach one another while repeatedly discovering the limits of what they are willing or able to give.
