When her grandmother becomes seriously ill, Camila moves to Buenos Aires with her family, leaving behind friends and a school where she felt more at ease. Her new private school expects conformity, and its conservative atmosphere immediately clashes with her outspoken temperament. Getting to know her classmates brings alliances, arguments and an attraction to Clara, whose own circumstances make their connection complicated. Beyond the classroom, feminist organizing offers Camila another way to question the rules shaping young women’s lives. Inés María Barrionuevo’s coming-of-age drama follows the overlap between private desire and public conviction, as a teenager learns how to defend what matters to her while recognizing that the people she cares about may be navigating pressures she does not yet fully understand.
