Former mixed martial arts fighter Jackie Justice has been living in the shadow of a disastrous exit from the sport. An unexpected opportunity offers her a route back into the ring, while the arrival of the young son she left behind forces her to confront responsibilities she has struggled to face. Training with Buddhakan brings discipline and the possibility of a different kind of trust. Their relationship develops beyond the practical demands of preparing for a fight, giving Jackie a connection that challenges her isolation. As pressure builds around her comeback, she must contend with the habits and relationships that have kept her trapped. The fight ahead becomes inseparable from the harder work of choosing how to live outside the cage.
