Ricky works in a Kentucky coffee shop while dreaming of a career in fashion beyond her hometown. Her closest friendship is with Robby, who has known her since childhood and seems like a dependable part of the life she wants to change. Meeting Francesca, a young woman awaiting her fiancé’s return, opens an unexpected romantic possibility. Their connection unsettles assumptions about who is available to whom and brings Robby’s own feelings into focus. The comedy follows a trans woman whose ambitions and desires are allowed to be as complicated as anyone else’s. As the three young adults reconsider friendship, attraction and loyalty, Ricky tries to imagine a future that makes room for both love and her creative hopes.
