Adèle is still trying to understand the life she is expected to want when she encounters Emma, an art student whose confidence and distinctive blue hair make a lasting impression. Their growing connection opens an emotional and social world that Adèle has not known before. As attraction becomes a relationship, differences in background, ambition and the ways they express themselves begin to matter alongside the intensity that first brought them together. The drama follows their changing bond over time, giving ordinary meals, work and conversations as much weight as declarations of love. Adèle’s search for a place in the world remains closely tied to the question of how to share it with someone whose sense of direction is different from her own.
