Grey is preparing to make a new record, but disturbing visions and anxieties have begun intruding on her life. An invitation from established producer Vaughn Daniels offers a chance to concentrate on the music at his remote home studio. Her girlfriend Charlie comes with her, initially sharing the hope that the stay will help. As the sessions intensify, Grey’s appetite and behaviour change in ways Charlie finds increasingly alarming. Amelia Moses’s horror film connects the pressure to create with a transformation that threatens the singer’s relationship and sense of herself. Grey’s artistic ambitions become difficult to separate from the unsettling nature she may be discovering beneath them.
