Laurel arrives in Los Angeles hoping for a change of scene and finds a nightlife far stranger than she expected. A group of queer women draws her into a vampire community that promises freedom, solidarity and protection from predatory men. Attraction and belonging make that invitation appealing, but the group's rules also carry demands that Laurel has not agreed to. As she becomes closer to Izzy and learns more about the forceful Duke, the possibility of a new life becomes a struggle over who gets to define it. Blending horror with a young woman's search for independence, the film centres Laurel's experience as a trans woman entering an explicitly queer world. Its friendships and desires are inseparable from its questions about loyalty, control and survival.
