Kat receives a gift intended for a romantic couple, despite no longer being in a relationship. Rather than waste a weekend away, she and her best friend Samantha decide to attend the retreat together and pretend to be partners. The plan promises relaxation and a few amusing stories. Instead, they find themselves surrounded by couples working through real problems and taking part in exercises that make evasion increasingly difficult. Conversations meant to support their cover story begin to expose questions about their friendship. The comedy lets an apparently harmless deception become an invitation to reconsider familiar boundaries. Kat and Samantha must work out whether the feelings emerging between them belong to the performance or to something they have avoided recognizing.
