Sarah lives in a small Nevada town where work, family and a familiar relationship leave her with little sense of possibility. When the free-spirited Pepper arrives, she brings an invitation to experience a different life. Sarah follows her into the world of a strip club, drawn by a mixture of desire, curiosity and the promise of independence. Their growing intimacy challenges Sarah’s understanding of herself, while the instability surrounding Pepper makes freedom difficult to separate from risk. The film follows a young woman discovering that escape is more complicated than leaving behind familiar people. Her attraction becomes part of a wider struggle to make decisions that belong to her rather than to the town’s expectations.
