Ruthie has inherited an empty hotel and would prefer to leave the place, along with the childhood memories attached to it, behind her. Her partner Cal sees the possibility of restoring it, bringing them back for a winter stay with friends whose own connections complicate the visit. The isolated building soon becomes a setting for jealousy, uneasy alliances and experiences that resist a reassuring explanation. As Ruthie’s history presses into the present, the weekend grows increasingly unstable. Stewart Thorndike’s horror film follows a queer group through a place where a relationship’s ordinary tensions become difficult to separate from the threat surrounding them.
