Mackenzie and Cassie have relied on each other for years, but the end of college exposes differences their friendship can no longer comfortably absorb. Mackenzie is coming out and eager to experience the romantic life she feels she has missed. Cassie, newly separated from her boyfriend, has uncertainties of her own and does not always know how to respond to her friend’s excitement. Their attachment is platonic, yet it can still carry expectations, jealousy and fear of being left behind. As new relationships and plans pull them in different directions, the comedy follows two friends learning that supporting one another may require giving up the assumption that they will always want the same things.
