Four separate stories follow people whose desires and circumstances bring them into relationships shaped by unequal power. Within that feature-length anthology, Neeraj Ghaywan’s Geeli Pucchi centres on Bharti, a skilled factory worker whose ambitions have been constrained by caste and gender. The arrival of Priya, a woman from a very different social position, introduces both companionship and attraction. Their growing closeness cannot remove the differences in how each is treated or the futures available to them. The wider film moves among distinct households and emotional entanglements, while this segment gives two women a complicated relationship in which desire, exclusion and the need for recognition continually affect one another.
